The air seemed euphoric in waves, the crowds were jubilant and the buntings and streamers in unison echoed the One triumphant theme….A remarkable Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty???? .. Queen Elizabeth the II !
The train journey to London Victoria was exciting packed with families and communities that were eclectically summer clad to witness the surprisingly sunny day’s events. Our city of London had prepared for this event months in advance and today the 2nd June of 2022 it would all go Live! ????

We looked forward to events of the day “Trooping the colour” (Queen’s birthday parade) and Flypast outside Buckingham palace.
As we walked toward the palace from London Victoria huge banners and shop fronts echoed the jubilee celebrations.

Cafeterias bustled in activity and shops came alive for a welcome change leaving the pandemic atmosphere behind. The celebratory theme resonated at every corner and the aura seemed uplifting and vivacious with families posing, youngsters updating Instagram and twitter posts while videographers enthusiastically captured every visual movement…

We reached the outskirts of the palace on Buckingham Palace Road and seen a part of the Horse guards exiting the palace grounds, all in livery and ceremonial colour they were amazing!

St James’s Park and Green Park were closed due to congestion but we were kindly redirected by the friendly security guards pointing us towards Hyde Park where we could see the Flypast. Waving our hand flags in anticipation we walked towards Hyde Park entrance…

Visitors from across the globe trotted to witness the live event and walking in close hordes gave us a chance to experience various vernacular conversations which reflected the Diverse United Britain of today!
The cheering and flag waving by humongous large numbers expressed an inner most warm feeling of affection and love on a memorable day for Her Majesty!

People thronged toward the majestic Wellington Arch from all over enclosing it’s sides and early visitors huddled along it’s balcony. Visitors and tourists flooded the streets with gadgets ready and streaming live, the atmosphere felt surreal!

People atop the Wellington Arch!

We all cheered endlessly as “One people” when the 82-gun salute hit the air voids at 12:50 to mark the historic event ???? ????

Standing outside Hyde park as the 82-gun salute continued reverberating, it throbbed the hearts of all to say that the nation’s salute to the Queen had begun. Airplanes soon flew overhead saluting her majesty’s Reign.

The RAF flypast totalled 70 planes in various formations all brilliantly displaying state of the art and technological advances made.
The most awesome formation that took us by surprise was the 70 formation marking Her Majesty’s 70 years of reign.

The colourful flypast air display was exhilarating and spectacular under brilliant azure skies, all very superbly planned.

The iconic Red Arrows in the sky culminated the flypast with their red, white and blue colours trailing and to be joined in with the ecstatic hailing by the crowds!

The Red Arrows formation!

The gates at Hyde park remained closed to the public with security on bikes closely monitoring. Soon some royals in cars drove past waving toward the exhilarated voices from the sea of people!

As the horse guards with their armour returned back towards Hyde Park even the crowds gradually began dispersing in the warm sunshine to carry on with their celebrations ….

We relished some burgers at Shake Shack in a festive style with lively chatting to recall the awesome formations of the flypast….

The Queen’s Corgis- At London Victoria and other areas around Westminster there were sculpted art displays depicting the Queen’s beloved corgis.

What a wonderful way to start the 4 day celebrations, watching all the pomp and tradition come to life on this eventful day,..surely there were beaming smiles all around the place!

Our Queen has stood calm, firm and resilient, embracing change and holding steadfast to development and progress through her historic reign. Her admirable reign has seen some trials and triumphs, heartache and joy and yet her zealous spirit to overcome hurdles and enthusiastically carry on calmly speaks volumes.
We missed the royal wave standing far away around Hyde park and wondered what were the thoughts running through Her Majesty’s mind at that moment ……. ????????
Her love for nature, Her sincere affection for all the people and Her passionate spirit to carry on despite the hardships???? all very exemplary admirable ways!

We are very proud of our Queen, long May She live and reign!!
Dedicated to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the II
